Barbara Gustafson

Barbara’s passion is painting and she has had the opportunity to take classes from some wonderful and talented teachers. She began as a "tole" painter (painting on wood or metal) which now it is called Decorative Arts.

Her teacher in L.A., Nedra Belden taught her very small faces, which has not translated into portraits. My portrait teacher in San Luis Obispo was MaryCarole Larsen who teaches all over the country. Both are very good friends and have taught her so much.

Presently, Barbara shows her art at the Tahoe Art League in South Lake Tahoe, CA and is Chair their Studio tour. She also shows her work at East Fork Gallery in Gardnerville, NV where she is enjoying getting to know all the artists participating in this beautiful gallery. She loves painting animals and children. Painting eyes is an incredible experience.
